Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated annual compensation for this position is $100,750. -124,000. which includes a base salary of $65,000. - $80,000. and 100% on target performance. Members of the sales function are eligible to participate in the UL Solutions Sales Incentive Plan. The annual target incentive for this position is 55% of the base salary, paid quarterly, and is contingent upon performance. Compensation is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors.
This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).

- Under guidance from the account management and sales leadership, develops the strategy for the hunting of new accounts from a book of new logo prospects with Global, Strategic, or Key tier potential; identifies accounts with the highest potential and develops acquisition plan (e.g., tip of the spear, target buyer persona).
- Cultivates relationships with potential new logo customers who have potential to reach Key+ account tier status.
- Understands customer industry and enterprise to focus on problem / solution discovery.
- Navigates customer organizations to identify decision makers and centers of influence.
- Lays foundation for sustainable relationship with customer throughout sales process and ensures successful handover to account manager after land lording period.
- Maintains a high level of domain knowledge.
- Systematically prioritizes high-potential leads (Key+ tiers) to develop them into new logo acquisitions.
- Has the working knowledge and experience to drives the entire sales cycle, from initial engagement to closed sale.
- Once deal is closed, continues to cultivate relationship for a short period of time to ensure successful service delivery, then transitions ownership to an account management team (e.g., provides customer context to new account owner, make customer introductions).
- Recognizes additional opportunities for account growth after initial sale is closed.
- Receives qualified leads from assigned Lead Development Representative (LDR) and collaborates to understand pipeline of new leads; provides coaching and feedback to LDR.
- Works with Sales Support Specialists for quote generation and order taking.
- Leverages engineers, software solution architects, and practitioners to run demonstrations, provide subject matter expertise, and support proposal development as needed.
- Partners with success and fulfillment teams to transition implementation after closing a sale.
- Facilitates smooth hand off of customer accounts to account managers after completion of land lording period.
- Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors' degree in business, engineering, or related field.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), and CRM software.
- 4+ years of related experience.
- Deep knowledge and experience with assigned industry and/or product / service line.
- Business acumen and understanding of business sales processes.
- Excellent interpersonal and business communication skills.
