MERGE, a Chicago-based marketing and technology agency, announced its acquisition of Blazer, a marketing and digital strategy consultancy. The move aims to expand MERGE’s early-stage consulting capabilities for consumer, health and financial services brands.

The acquisition coincides with MERGE’s launch of cross-functional offerings designed to provide organizations with scalable, insight-led solutions. The products leverage both companies’ expertise, combining Blazer’s consulting with MERGE’s creative and technology skills. The pair aim to help clients optimize for opportunities at earlier business stages, delivering support across areas such as strategic planning, data analytics, digital experience design and go-to-market execution.

As MERGE focuses on the intersection of high-growth consumer and health industries with its new model, the acquisition expands MERGE’s ability to build individualized tools based on real-world business impact. Transaction details for the acquisition were not shared. Blazer’s CEO, Gregory Ng, will join MERGE’s integrated offerings organization, reporting to the company’s chief digital officer.
